i took an image of eyes and another image of lips and used those as a reference and created my piece by using those references and building from it. She is supposed to be a space girl, she has like the ring of Saturn around her head and no eyes because they are lost in space.

My most successful project was my elements of design project. It was my most successfull because it was the most detailed and worked on piece I did. If I could do one project over again and do it differently would be my Teens Inspired. What I would do the second time around is make it neater and cleaner and add a background. I would do this because I can do better and if I did these things my piece would look so much better. To compare these two pieces of art, I drew people and used charcoal. One is only charcoal, the other is charcoal and pastel and the organization is completely different. The artistic behaviors I have done is charcoal. A unit on drawing people and in charcoal would be fun, because thats my favorite medium, plus im sure a lot of people would like to learn how to draw people and learn shading. I am serlf taught in this area.l
What is my artwork intended to say? It's suppose to say that women always let everything affect them. Women let their boyfriends or husbands or their s/o change how they feel. We shape what we do around other people and we let it happen. We don't do what we want. We take it. Every little thing a man does we little change our emotions, but we don't do anything about it. We continue to seem happy as we are being walked all over. Did I try something that you weren’t sure about as part of this project?
I wasn't sure how I felt about free drawing my art. I also wasn't sure if I should add a face or add words. I was also completely unsure about my color scheme. Inspiration piece. The process Finished Product I was inspired by the close up. The photographer took a picture of a person, but only a very close up image. You only see most of their eyes, some of their eyebrows and hair. That's all you see. I took it upon myself to take a picture of a person and create a portrait. It started off as a normal picture. As you can see in the final product different parts of the face and parts of the body are in unusual places. It's like a bunch of close ups in different places. The parts that should be on the top are on the bottom and the parts that should be on the bottom are on the top. It's an abstract organized inspired by a close up image. The person I drew is a a tattoo art who does dot work so in the negative spaces I decided to do close ups of black and white dot work. There is a lot of plain space from the girls white t shirt, but with the light portions provide a serious contrast as well as the different materials used.
The word I used is change. I turned it into the question, what is change? I drew two pictures of the same person, one from the beginning of their career and them currently. It signifies how much someone can change with time.
Art without meaning is like a story without anything actually happening. Art without meaning isn't art. There's always a story behind everything.
How I used the elements of design was color value. Lights and darks to bring out certain features of his face and in his hair.
